She teaches the kinds of books and products you can actually make and sell: coloring books, crossword puzzles, word searches, designs, print on demand and a long list of other ideas. It is free to join, with paid levels if you want more. I went all in with VIP because of all the value she gives.

Good for

• Learning KDP step by step from someone who does it
• Trying different product types before you settle on one
• Finding your next book idea when you run dry

Not for you if

• You want it done for you. You still make the books.
• You are easily overwhelmed. There is a lot inside, so pick one type of book and ignore the rest for now.

KDP Publishing

Krista Brea's paid community for taking a book from idea, to published, to marketed on Amazon KDP. It goes deep on the publishing side: book SEO, keyword research, publishing professionally and getting your book found. There are live events with replays, a self-publishing checklist and an author directory where members can list their books.

I went with Premium because I wanted to learn more about publishing and keyword research. That is where most of my own questions were.

Good for

• Getting one book idea or unfinished manuscript all the way to published
• Keyword research and book SEO, so buyers can actually find your book
• Marketing a book after it is live, not just uploading it

Not for you if

• You want to start free. It is paid from day one.
• You want lots of product types. It is focused on publishing books well.
