People assume there’s a machine behind Digital Business After 40. A team. Software running things while I sleep.
It’s me, an iPad, and a laptop.
Here’s what a real day looks like. I write content in the morning while it’s quiet. I check in on my Skool community and answer whatever came up overnight. I work on whatever’s broken or half-built, a blog post, a tool, a page that needs fixing. And somewhere in there I stop and actually think about what my people need next, not what’s trending, what they need.
That’s the whole operation. No hidden team. No secret shortcut.
Three things people assume that aren’t true.
“She must have started young and built this over decades.” I started this after 40. Everything you’re looking at is recent, built with tools that didn’t exist when I was starting out in the working world the first time.
“She must be techy.” I’m not. I don’t code. I use AI tools the way you’d use a very capable assistant, describing what I want in plain English and refining from there.
“It must run itself by now.” It doesn’t, and I don’t want it to. I’m in it every day, which is exactly why it still sounds like me.
Here’s the thing about our age that nobody talks about enough. I’m not guessing what my audience needs. I’ve lived enough seasons to recognize the exact moment someone feels behind, overwhelmed, or unsure if it’s too late to start something new. That’s not a disadvantage. That’s the whole edge.
If you’re building something of your own, or thinking about starting, I’d rather show you the real version than the highlight reel.
Your next step: come see it up close inside the free Digital Business After 40 community.
